Nordhavn 96' New Journey

The Nordhavn 96’ New Journey expertly pairs luxury with relaxation. For its owners, it was paramount that the interior feel comfortable and inviting, like a home away from home for themselves and their many friends that would be accompanying them around the world. To help their vision come to life, they brought on Scott Cole of Ardeo Design, whose 30 years of yacht design experience and eye for minute details helped them achieve the feeling of luxurious comfort they were seeking.

To place emphasis on community and warmth, Cole designed communal and individual spaces within a backdrop featuring subtle textures, woven leathers, and a natural color palette. In lieu of a traditional dining area, the owners requested a large U-shaped bar that seats eight aft of the galley to match their more casual dining and entertaining lifestyle. For more formal dinners, a beautifully-detailed, boat shaped teak dining table for ten is located in the cockpit aft where dinner can be enjoyed al fresco.

The flybridge was designed to be the ultimate social spot, with a nightclub-inspired curved bar intentionally placed around the perimeter of the deck, adjacent to a large open space for dancing. Just below on the pilot house deck, the skylounge sits ready for everything from a workout to a jam session, with a recessed elliptical and concealed storage spaces for exercise equipment, an electronic drum kit, and amps.

In addition to the owners' stateroom, which is located amidships below deck at the most stable part of the vessel, the yacht boasts three guest staterooms with ensuite heads, a convertible guest cabin in the skylounge, and two separate crew quarters.

New Journey has been nominated for the 2024 World Superyacht Awards in the Displacement Motor Yachts below 500GT, 30m to 39.99m category.
